Traditionally dyed with Shulang and river mud through seven carefully repeated dyeing cycles. Plant tannins, mineral-rich mud and sunlight create a rich earthy brown with natural tonal variation. The natural cotton fibres absorb the dye beautifully, creating subtle variations in colour while allowing the shade to soften and develop its own unique character over time.
