Return & Exchange Policy

At KuluKabi, every garment is individually handcrafted and hand-dyed using natural botanical dyes. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.

 

Variations in colour, tone, texture, pattern, and finish are a natural part of the plant-dyeing process and celebrate the individuality of each garment. These unique characteristics are not considered faults or defects. We value transparency, craftsmanship, and thoughtful consumption. If something isn't quite right, we're here to help.

Natural Colour & Handmade Characteristics

Each KuluKabi piece is dyed by hand using botanical pigments and natural materials.

 

Because of this process:

• Colours may vary slightly from product photographs.

• Natural markings, tonal variations, marbling and subtle irregularities are expected.

• Slight differences in stitching, texture or finish are part of the handmade process.

 

These variations are part of the beauty of handcrafted clothing and are not considered manufacturing defects.

 

Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns for store credit or exchange under the following conditions:

• Condition: Items must be unworn, unwashed and in their original condition, free from stains, odours or damage.

• Tags & Packaging: All original tags must remain attached and the item must be returned in its original packaging.

• Time Frame: Please submit your return request within 14 days of receiving your order.

• Approval Required: Please contact us before sending any return. Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.

• Final Sale: Final Sale, Custom-Dyed and Made-to-Order items are not eligible for return, exchange or store credit unless they are faulty or supplied incorrectly.

• If a returned item does not meet these conditions, it may be returned to you at your expense.

 

Exchanges

We are happy to offer size exchanges for Australian orders within 30 days of delivery, subject to stock availability.

 

To request an exchange, please email contact@kulukabi.com.au with your order number and reason for exchange. Once your returned item has been received and inspected, your replacement will be dispatched.

 

If your requested item is unavailable, you may choose either Store Credit or a refund (where eligible).

 

Store Credit

If you change your mind about your purchase, we're happy to offer store credit provided your return meets the eligibility requirements above. Store credit is valid for 3 years and may be used on any future purchase at kulukabi.com.au.

 

For Australian customers, return shipping for store credit is complimentary.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds for change of mind. Refunds are only available under below conditions:

• Has a manufacturing fault.

• Is significantly different from its description.

• Is incorrect or was supplied in error.

 

Where a refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method after the returned item has been received and inspected.

 

Please note:

• Original shipping charges are non-refundable

• Please allow 5–10 business days for your payment provider to process the refund

International Orders

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for exchanges or store credit unless the item is faulty or incorrectly supplied. Any customs duties, taxes or import charges paid are non-refundable.

 

Custom-Dyed & Made-to-Order Items

Every custom-dyed or made-to-order garment is individually created for you.

Because these pieces are produced specifically upon request, they cannot be returned or refunded unless they are faulty or incorrectly supplied.

 

Caring for Plant-Dyed Garments

Natural botanical dyes are living colours that will continue to soften and evolve over time.

 

Slight fading, tonal shifts and subtle changes through wear, washing and exposure to light are natural characteristics of plant-dyed textiles and are not considered manufacturing faults. With mindful care, each garment will develop its own unique patina and tell the story of its journey.

 

Faulty or Incorrect Items

We carefully inspect every garment before it leaves our studio. If you believe you have received a faulty or incorrect item, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue by emailing contact@kulukabi.com.au.

 

We'll work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible through a repair, replacement or refund.
